System Engineer 2 Jama - Remote

Summary:
The Jama Connect Expert Requirement Management Tool Contractor will provide expertlevel support for the use of Jama Connect within the Systems Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of requirements management best practices as well as experience with Jama Connect. The contractor will be responsible for generating and managing projects in Jama Connect configuring item types creating fields and providing endtoend traceability. The contractor will also be responsible for delivering status updates to the leadership providing technical guidance to team members conducting training on Jama Connect and staying uptodate on the latest Jama Connect features and functionality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate and manage projects in Jama Connect ensuring that all requirements are captured and managed effectively.
Configure item types and create fields to meet the specific needs of the Systems Engineering team.
Provide endtoend traceability by linking requirements to other artifacts such as test cases and design documents.
Deliver status updates to the leadership team on a regular basis highlighting key accomplishments and any challenges or risks.
Provide technical guidance to team members on the use of Jama Connect helping them to maximize their productivity and efficiency.
Conduct training sessions on Jama Connect for new and existing team members.
Stay uptodate on the latest Jama Connect features and functionality ensuring that the team is using the tool to its full potential.
Manage Risk Management Configuration Management and Traceability within Jama Connect.
Support platform productline engineering by ensuring that requirements are managed and tracked effectively across multiple products and variants.
Set up and manage user permissions within Jama Connect ensuring that users have the appropriate access to requirements and other artifacts.
Conduct regular reviews of Jama Connect projects to ensure that requirements are complete consistent and traceable.
Work with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with requirements.
Manage changes to requirements and ensure that all impacted stakeholders are notified.
Generate reports from Jama Connect to track progress and identify trends.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering computer science or a related field.
5 years of experience with Jama Connect with a proven track record of success in using the tool to manage complex requirements.
Strong understanding of requirements management best practices including traceability completeness and consistency.
Experience with Risk Management Configuration Management and Traceability.
Understanding of platform productline engineering concepts.
Familiarity with Jama Connects user permission management features.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines and deliver highquality work even under pressure.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Must haves:
Experience as a Jama admin/lead to generate and manage projects in Jama Connect Requirement Management Tool.
Experience in configuring item types and create fields in Jama Connect.
Experience in importing/exporting data in and out of Jama; Create template and generate custom reports using Mailmerge or otherwise.
Experience in establishing parentchild requirement traces creating dashboards and requirement to test case traces in Jama.
