Sustainable Energy Investment Analyst Programme ZrichMunich

Solas Capital AG is an investment advisor founded by a leading team of sustainable finance investment professionals with experience in the fields of energy efficiency renewable energy and infrastructure finance. Solas Capitals goal is to support societys transition to a carbon neutral economy by developing and managing sustainable finance products that have a double bottomline investment objective. Located in Zurich Dublin and Munich the company has a European outreach. To support the companys growth as well as the deployment of the companys existing European sustainable energy fund focusing on energy efficiency projects we are looking to fill the role of Sustainable Energy Investment Analyst.

The successful candidate will be an integrated part of our experienced team of energy finance experts and will complete an analyst training programme comprising:

• handson experience in the endtoend transaction process market research and origination; technical and legal due diligence; drafting of transaction documentation and Investment Committee memos; all the way through to signing financial agreements and deploying capital to drive sustainable development in the EU.
• working on portfolio management with existing partners
• supporting in business development to help shape Solas Capitals future funds
• the opportunity to use your creative skills by getting involved in our investor outreach

This is a temporary role comprising 6 months in Zurich followed by 6 months in Munich with the potential to be extended.

Tasks

• support on the endtoend transaction process i.e. termsheet drafting credit risk assessment managing thirdparty due diligence incl. drafting and execution of transaction documents writing IC memos
• work closely with investment managers in project origination
• support client relationship management with project partners
• coordinate with the portfolio management function
• support in the preparation of client presentations and marketing materials

Requirements

Candidates must have:

• initial experience in transaction execution and investment/project due diligence; or in the solar energy efficiency or infrastructure industry
• thirdlevel degree or masters in a relevant field.
• fluency in English and preferably business proficiency in one of the following languages: Spanish Portuguese German or Polish
• experience in financial modelling and building PowerPoint presentations
• problemsolving mindset and ability to work independently and proactively
• strong communication and interpersonal skills and an interest in building external relationships with stakeholders
• good project management capabilities
• strong interest in and enthusiasm for sustainability and climate impact financeSwiss work permit or EU citizenship

Candidates may also have:

• experience in managing thirdparty advisors
• sound knowledge of project finance debt/bonds private debt or real asset alternative investments
• strong interest in transforming the energy system through decentralized renewable generation and energy efficiency solutions
