Position Type: FullTime
Pay: $30.68 Per hour Plus $15.20 per hour applied towards 401K!

Job Description:
Position Summary: The Shelter Superintendent is responsible for the overall management and supervision of our migrant shelter ensuring the safety wellbeing and dignity of all residents. They play a critical role in maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment while managing shelter logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Facility Maintenance: Oversee facility maintenance and repairs coordinating with external service providers as needed.
- Property Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing electrical HVAC and general repairs to ensure the safety and functionality of the property.
- Property Inspections: Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs safety hazards and potential improvements.
- Resident Support: Provide support and assistance to migrant residents including orientation to shelter rules access to resources and addressing immediate needs.
- Community Liaison: Collaborate with local organizations agencies and volunteers to coordinate support services and resources for residents.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws regulations and shelter policies including those related to confidentiality and resident rights.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Compassionate and culturally sensitive approach to working with migrants.
- Previous experience in janitorial Superintendent or a related field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
