- Scope out and monitor the global technological landscape in the areas of: Solar energy, 3D printing, robotics and drone of Japanese industries and research centers
- Research and develop new equipment, new practices and technologies in the following three areas: Solar Energy, cold chain, 3D printing, robotics and drone

Gather formal specification requirements from the Operations Department or the Medical Department or by the Logistics Department
- Identify and develop/adapt equipment for to the specific requirements of humanitarian medicine.
