Sr Credit Manager

Job Description:

The Senior Credit Manager is responsible for leading our credit department and ensuring the companys revenues are protected while managing risks. The role involves a significant amount of time dealing with risk assessment problemsolving and negotiation.

Responsibilities:

1. Credit Risk Assessment: Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers set credit ceilings and manage credit scoring and credit checking.
2. Debt Collection: Oversee customer billing and cash receipts processing. Implement effective recovery strategies and manage the collection process.
3. Credit Policy Management: Develop and implement the companys credit policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Reporting: Prepare reports detailing the credit status of customers. Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts.
5. Team Management: Manage and train credit control teams. Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork and growth.
6. Strategic Planning: Participate in corporate strategic planning and implement strategic goals and objectives.
7. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with sales department to negotiate payment plans for clients with outstanding debts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Senior Credit Manager or similar role.
• Strong understanding of lending procedures and laws.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to create and process financial spreadsheets.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Leadership skills with a problemsolving attitude.
