Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: HYBRID Austin TX (TX Locals Highly Preferred)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Urgent Need of Business Analyst with at least 9 years of relevant experience. Prior state experience preferred.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support for current Java application development and coding within the Department of Public Safety Information and Technology Division.
- Enhance development efficiency and support resource planning.
- Support current Licensing Services projects and priorities.
- Facilitate the gathering of Themes Epics User Stories and Acceptance Criteria (Agile Artifacts).
- Assist in the decomposition of existing requirements documents.
- Directly support and educate teams on the creation of Agile artifacts.
- Facilitate development teams in executing acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate discussions between development and quality assurance teams.
- Gather story points to establish a predictive level of effort model.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 9 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Prior experience in a state government setting is highly preferred.
- Strong background in Java application development and coding.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in creating Agile artifacts.
- Ability to facilitate discussions and educate teams on Agile processes.
- Experience in gathering and decomposing requirements for Licensing Services projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
