SQL Database Administrator

• Experience with SQL 2016 and higher and Windows Operating Systems required, familiarity with VMware preferred.
  
• Experience in troubleshooting and recovering application databases.
  
• Extensive knowledge of database recovery, database administration (including security) and database optimization and tuning required.
  
• Experience with the Installation, configuration, and administration of database software within the Microsoft SQL server stack including SSRS, SSAS and SSIS
  
• Experience with Monitoring and optimizing database performance.
  
• Experience creating and/or tuning complex queries.
  
• Experience with reviewing and assessing the impact of database design changes prior to their implementation.
  

Requirements

• Participate in troubleshooting and recovering application databases.
  
• Monitor tickets and requisitions and ensure work is performed on time and accurately.
  
• Responsible for database recovery methodologies and implementation
  
• Administer database security to meet Federated Hermes standards.
  
• Monitor and optimize database performance.
  
• Create and/or tune complex queries.
  
• Review and assess the impact of database design changes prior to their implementation.
  
• Provide technical expertise in the design and development of complex SQL queries.
  
• May provide technical leadership for other database administrators.
  
• Participate in the on-call/after hour support rotation for Federated Hermes SQL Database Platforms
  
• Perform off hour database migrations as required.
