Specialist - Architectural Design I

One of our prestigious clients is looking to hire a Specialist Architectural Design I to be based in Ras Al Khair Saudi Arabia In the Maritime industry who will be responsible for but not limited to:

Job Overview
This job role is to ensure Execute Architectural Engineering Designing activities projects (Concept Front End Engineering Technical Study and Detail Design). for rig building and MRO.

Key Responsibilites

• Work activity planning distribution monitoring and checking for the development of Architectural Design & Construction drawings.
• Supervise team of Draftsmen.
• Work in multiple projects and prepare detail drawings and material takeoffs based on Basic Design drawings / sketches provided by Designers and Engineers.
• Ensure the deliverables meet the customers Technical Specifications Company standards requirements of production and other statutory regulations.
• Act as checker on design related deliverables.
• Work on 3D model and/or 2D package following drafting standard maintaining clarity quality and completeness of details.
• Performs periodic overall model reviews to assure level of content.
• Participate in 3D model review as required.
• Reviews for overall completeness general safety issues access and egress materials handling scheme being adhered to maintenance and operability etc.
• Maintain high technical quality in drafting with consistent presentation ensuring clarity and ease of construction.
• Review and update discipline design guidelines and standards.
• Estimate drawing quantities for design deliverables.
• Develop and maintain drawing lists.
• Gather and review applicable codes standards and Supplier requirements to define installation requirements and communicate requirements to the design team.
• Review and comment on Supplier drawings.
• Propose design improvements and lessons learned.
• Analyze options to optimize cost and scheduling.
• Prepare asbuilt documentation.
• Support bids and proposals as required.
• Provide design inputs and prepare Fire and Safety Plans General arrangement drawings and Room Layouts interior designing of living quarters/accommodation bulkhead and deck classification for fire protection watertight / weathertight plans etc.
• Perform site survey as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Architectural Engineering or equivalent
• At least 39 years in any engineering company. Preference will be given for those who had worked in ship and rig building yard major construction yard EPC contractor and/or Consultant Company.
• Experience in Naval Architectural/Marine Drafting involving General Arrangements Safety Plans etc.
• Experience in AutoCAD PDMS / AVEVA or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of International Codes and Standards Marine Regulations and Classification Rules.
