Job Description: Software Development Project Manager IoT devices
In this role you will be responsible for leading software development projects for IoT devices for an outdoor product D2C retailer. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure the successful delivery of innovative products for the hunting sport shooting and outdoor enthusiast market. You will have the opportunity to work with industryleading brands and contribute to the development of top quality outdoor gear.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire software development lifecycle for IoT devices from project planning to delivery and postrelease support
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including software engineers product managers designers and quality assurance to define project requirements and deliverables
- Create project plans schedules and budgets and ensure adherence to deadlines and budget constraints
- Define project scope goals and deliverables and effectively communicate them to team members and stakeholders
- Implement project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall to ensure efficient and effective project execution
- Utilize project management tools such as Jira to track project progress identify risks and manage project documentation
- Monitor and report on project status risks and issues to stakeholders and senior management
- Provide leadership guidance and support to the software development team ensuring a collaborative and motivated work environment
- Ensure compliance with industry standards best practices and regulatory requirements in software development
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Software Development Project Manager preferably in the IoT domain
- Strong knowledge and understanding of software development processes and methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage crossfunctional software development teams
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira for task and resource management
- Project management certifications such as PMP CSM or SAFe are highly desirable
Desired Experience:
- 3 years of experience in software development project management preferably in IoT or related fields
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Prior experience with IoT devices and related technologies
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment
