Overview

The Service Engineer plays a crucial role in our organization by providing technical support and services to our customers. They are responsible for installing maintaining and repairing equipment as well as providing technical assistance and training to endusers. This position is vital in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining our reputation for highquality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install configure and test equipment and software.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware and software malfunctions.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and endusers.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and upgrades on equipment.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of service procedures and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to address customer needs.
  • Document service and installation actions by entering information and completing reports.
  • Manage and prioritize service requests and support tickets.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Travel to customer sites to provide onsite support when necessary.
  • Participate in product testing and quality assurance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues over the phone or via remote desktop.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer interactions and experiences.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Information Technology or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Service Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Excellent knowledge of hardware software and networking systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Detailoriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Certification in relevant technologies or products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and service management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of quality assurance processes and standards.
  • Adherence to safety and compliance regulations.
