This SEO guru will be responsible for all things SEO in efforts to maximize our ROI, and drive organic traffic. You will also need to have a strong understanding of both off page and on page SEO.
All candidates must have a minimum one year experience with Google SEO strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- You are pivotal part of our team, you will drive SEO in content creation and content programming
- Ensure on-site optimization is complete including research, testing and analysis
- Find solutions to increase organic traffic to the site through optimization of Website pages
- Ongoing SEO research and development
- Develop comprehensive strategies that drive traffic to both our website and app
- Working closely with third party agencies
- Monitor and report on activities by generating a weekly comprehensive report and monthly comparisons
- Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
- Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
- Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations
- Research and analyze competitor advertising links
- Develop and implement link building strategy
- Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented
- Ensure CanMar is implementing best in class campaigns
Requirements
- 3 years + working as an SEO marketing campaigns
- Experience working with enterprise SEO optimization tools (eg. Brightedge, Moz, Search Metrics, SEM Rush)
- Completion of education either in the e-commerce, marketing or similar discipline
- Strong experience in planning, testing and optimizing
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and creatively solve problems
- Has the ability to jump in and hit the ground running
- Has a particular strong aptitude to learning new programs quickly
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
Nice to Have s
- Experience working with Active Campaigns is a bonus
- A background in cannabis or psychedelics
- Has experience working in a start-up culture
