Senior Software Engineer - ConControl (f/m/d)

At xChange we are seeking enthusiastic, tech-savvy Software Engineers for our container logistics platform who are passionate about building amazing products that have a big impact in the world together with a team of motivated colleagues.

You will be joining our ConControl team. We are creating a logistics ecosystem by providing technology on our ConControl platform that connects all container operations processes, data points and parties in one interface. We are turning container logistics into an easy and efficient business and digitalising global trade to make container management a seamless and transparent operation for everyone.

Our Tech team is the backbone of xChange, developing highly scalable products to not only disrupt a whole industry but to set a new standard when operating containers worldwide. Hence, you will be joining a highly collaborative agile team with skilled customer-focused colleagues who strive for the best code quality, the highest tech standards, and the drive to push xChange's product forward.

Your tasks

• Create and implement high-priority features that match our current architecture
• Keep proven features up to date, identify technical debts and suggest solutions
• Support your team with your expertise to achieve the best outcome each sprint
• Optimize our current processes for coding and challenge our toolset and architecture
• Share your tech and business knowledge proactively to drive the success of xChange and our Tech teams

Requirements

Your profile

• Solid and proven experience as Software Engineering experience in Java and Angular 2+ (TypeScript) with a focus on web applications
• Excellent coding skills paired with hands-on experience in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Spring, Hibernate, MySQL (MariaDB) / NoSQL (MongoDB), Maven and Git
• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture processes and tools e.g., Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ
• Deep understanding of development processes and best practises you strive for efficient processes, highest code quality and tech standards
• A great team player with excellent communication skills (in English) you know how to share your knowledge and communicate clearly
• High personal drive and confidence in what you do you can stand your ground in a discussion and feel comfortable taking initiative
