Senior Process Engineer

FenX is a spin-off from ETH Zurich. We tackle the world s energy and greenhouse gas challenges by disrupting the building insulation market. Based on an innovative foaming technique, we produce high-performance insulation foams made from abandoned waste materials. We are looking for an experienced process engineer with knowledge in materials, to join our Tech Team with his/her hands-on attitude and competences in industrial processes.

Tasks

• You are responsible for designing new and developing existing industrial processes of porous ceramics
• You use your experience and knowledge to help us improve the fabrication of foams
• You are responsible for managing your own projects from ideation to mass production
• You actively participate in long-term product/technology planning
• You support the technological transfer from R&D to the production
  line
• You track, monitor and report progress and deliverables on running projects

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in process engineering, food processing, civil engineering or similar
• 5+ years industrial experience in engineering positions in the food, cement, ceramics, or geopolymer industry
• Knowledge in extrusion, drying and automation of processes is beneficial
• Strong motivation to tackle challenges and contribute to overall FenX goals
• You have a hands-on attitude and are a team player who is reliable, agile, and resilient
• You can adapt to a dynamic and changing environment and have a positive attitude when dealing with uncertainties
• Craftsmanship and application of technical expertise to implement new solutions
• Innovative thinker and problem solver
• You have strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
