Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior MRI Technologist to lead our Outpatient Magnetic Resonance Imaging Department. As the Senior Technologist you will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing the daytoday operations of the MRI department across all Radiology locations. Safety is our top priority and as a leader in MRI you will actively contribute to the design and establishment of protocols applications and daily workflows.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations supply management and workflows for the MRI department.
  • Serve as the MRI department expert providing training education and onboarding for new and existing staff.
  • Coordinate and oversee daytoday operations and departmental activities.
  • Identify revenue cycle best practices and support implementation within the department.
  • Contribute to the development of policies procedures protocols and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other hospital service areas to provide optimal patient care.
  • Support customer service initiatives and promptly respond to patient concerns.
  • Motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance leading by example.
  • Monitor PACS and Epic lists to ensure accuracy and timely exam corrections.
  • Document and perform equipment QA/QC as outlined by ACR DOH and Joint Commission.
  • Participate in Joint Commission surveys rounding and preparation.
  • Perform timekeeping for all MRI staff and manage PTO requests.
  • Perform and/or oversee MRI procedures instructing and manipulating patients selecting techniques calibrating equipment and performing scans.
  • Dispatch calls for equipment service and coordinate preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to established departmental policies procedures objectives and safety standards.
  • Perform ACR accreditations including documentation and image submission for accreditation purposes.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Technical Manager or designee.
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • ARRT Registered Technologist RT Licensure
  • ARRT MRI Certified
  • NYS DOH Licensure
  • NYS license to perform injections
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as an MRI Tech or Lead Tech
  • MRSO Certification required
  • BLS certification
