Our Team

Our Tax Service team delivers quality tax solutions to privately owned middle-market companies, high net worth individuals, and trusts and estates. You will be our “Outsourced Accounting Guru” and will guide and mentor our OA team through complex financial projects. Your Impact

As our Senior Financial Controller, you will assume a multifaceted leadership role that encompasses steering our financial strategies, driving growth, and ensuring enduring financial sustainability. Leading teams across various projects as the head of our client accounting department, you will orchestrate the delivery of impeccable accounting services that align with our commitments. Your responsibility extends to crafting comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that serve as the bedrock for consistency, and in this capacity, you will hold teams and stakeholders accountable for upholding these standards.

With your seasoned expertise, you will guide and mentor our team, ranging from 6 to 10 individuals, imparting your financial acumen to tackle even the most intricate accounting challenges. You are the go-to technical resource, empowering your team to resolve complex accounting issues with finesse. Through your adept leadership, you will cement your reputation as the driving force behind our financial success, overseeing substantial projects and refining performance metrics that empower strategic decision-making.

As the compass of our Outsourced Accounting division, you will spearhead the department's operation, ensuring that it operates with precision and efficiency. Your insights, honed leadership, and adept mentorship will be pivotal in guiding us towards well-informed, data-driven choices that elevate our company's financial performance to unprecedented heights. By seamlessly blending your role as a team leader with your prowess as an accounting virtuoso, you will orchestrate a symphony of excellence that resonates throughout our financial endeavors."

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead and manage complex financial projects, from inception to completion, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely achievement of project milestones within a full-service CPA firm environment.
  • Team Performance Metrics: Develop, implement, and monitor performance metrics that gauge the effectiveness of our financial team, enabling data-driven decision-making and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Financial Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to shape financial strategies aligned with business objectives, providing insights based on your in-depth understanding of CPA standards.
  • Budgetary Oversight: Take charge of budget management, variance analysis, and cost control, contributing to efficient resource allocation and strategic financial planning.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor, guide, and inspire the financial team, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration while nurturing individual growth.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential financial risks and formulate proactive strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the company's financial stability and compliance.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage complex financial projects, from inception to completion, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely achievement of project milestones.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the finance department and cross-functionally, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, safeguarding the organization's financial stability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
  • Professional CPA certification.
  • 3+ years of experience working at a CPA firm in a management role, Top 20 Accounting Firm Experience a HUGE plus!
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with a focus on leading projects and optimizing performance metrics.
  • 5+ years of experience in team leadership, with a proven track record of successfully managing and developing teams.
  • Proficient in financial software and tools: ERP Software, such as Netsuite, Sage 300 CRE, Quickbooks Online, Advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and inspire team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and the ability to create a positive work environment.
  • Proficiency in [relevant software/tools/systems] related to the department's functions.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams toward achieving strategic goals.
