We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Randstad client's team in Washington, DC. In this 12+ month contract role, you will be responsible for providing deep expertise in Cyber Technologies and Enterprise Security tools. The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience in a variety of cybersecurity domains and have a strong understanding of web application security, identity and access management security, endpoint security, cloud security, network security, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Web Application Security: Proficiency in web application security, including Web Application Firewall (WAF) configuration with tools like Akamai and Alert Logic.
- Bot Management: Expertise in bot management to safeguard web applications.
- Identity and Access Management Security: Ensuring the security of identity and access management systems.
- Web Technologies: Familiarity with web technologies such as HTTP, HTTPS, and HTML.
- Cybersecurity Domains: A broad understanding of cybersecurity domains including endpoint security, data security, cryptography, application security, mobile device security, SIEM and SOAR integrations.
- Cloud Security: Knowledge of cloud security, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Experience with AWS and Azure is desirable, while expertise in other cloud platforms is a plus.
- Network Security: Proficiency in network security, including firewalls (FW), intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and web application firewall security technologies.
- Certifications: Possess one of the recognized cybersecurity certifications or cloud security certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CCSP, Security+, CEH, CGRC, AWS/Azure certifications.
Minimum Skillset Requirements:
- Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting and automation to enhance cybersecurity processes.
- Monitoring and Analytics: Proficiency in monitoring and analytics tools for proactive threat detection and response.
- Agile Development: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies to integrate cybersecurity into the software development lifecycle.
- Vulnerability Management: Knowledgeable in vulnerability management to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Penetration Testing: Knowledgeable in penetration testing to assess and secure network and application vulnerabilities.
- Zero Trust Architecture: Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture concepts to enhance security in modern network environments.
