Redstone Commodity Search are working with commodity trading house based in Florida, who are looking to hire a senior chartering manager to fix bulk vessels as well as develop their FFA trading activities.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

Establish suitable vessels and fix for dry bulk goods globally (cement, clinker, gypsum, coal, petcoke, iron ore etc.), negotiating with owners, operators and brokers.
Work closely with the traders and operations team to ensure a smooth trade process as well assisting with post fixture activities
Responsible for creating, maintaining and using models to evaluate and structure freight trades for both paper and physical.
Actively manage FFA trading contracts to further improve the companys freight trading objectives.
Assess the feasibility and profitability of time chartering vessels and when warranted, develop associated charter management plans.
Role reports to the VP of Chartering

Key Qualifications / Experience

Minimum of 5 years experience as a charterer or shipbroker fixing dry bulk vessels with in-depth knowledge of market fundamentals
Experience and the ability to create, maintain and use models to evaluate and structure freight trades, both financial and physical
Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
Experience with active management of FFA trading contracts.
Located in Palm Bach Country, FL or happy to relocate (need to have the right to work in the USA)
