Senior Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter (f/m/d)

We are now looking for an ambitious Senior Accountant (f/m/d) to develop and take ownership of our accounting.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management of the company's financial records, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records
• Manage the company assets such as property, plant, and equipment
• Register and reconcile customer prepayments and prepaid expenses
• Reviewing and booking bank and creditcard statement transactions
• Review AP transactions in cooperation with our finance ops team
• Prepare and review financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts, to ensure compliance with German accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies and goals
• Act as a liaison between the company and external parties, such as auditors and tax authorities

Your profile

• 3-5 years of related experience in a Tax Consulting Agency or an Accounting Department, with at least 1 year in a senior or leadership role.
• You have an academic degree in Accounting or a comparable education/qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
• You have experience with DATEV or with the finance & accounting modules of a ERP software
• Solid background in Accounting (P&L, General Ledger, Balance Sheet)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• You have a good track record of working collaboratively and successfully in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment, bonus if you have worked in fast-paced/scaling organizations or Start-ups before
• Knowledge of German Local GAAP and German Taxation would be an advantage
• You are fluent in English and German
