Responsibilities:

  • Excellent employment opportunity for a Scientist II in the Ridgefield, CT area.
  • Design, plan and execute experiments in an independent manner leveraging scientific and technical expertise to achieve defined objectives.
  • Independently initiates and carries out the process for assay development, optimization and validation as required.
  • Perform in vivo rodent studies and supporting ex vivo assays to support pre-clinical research projects.
  • Work with lab supervisor to analyze and graphically represent data from studies and present data in a team setting.
  • Assist in supporting daily function and operation of logistics group including shipping, customs documentation, sample organization and database maintenance.
  • Ordering of laboratory consumables to ensure continuous supplies.
  • Design, execute, interpret and complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Work well in a highly matrixed environment and support multiple projects at the same time.
  • Works independently with the capability to troubleshoot experimental procedures.
  • Prepare technical reports, publications and oral presentations as required.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with three-plus (3+) years of experience in related Scientific discipline or Master's Degree from an accredited institution in related Scientific discipline or equivalent experience in related field.
  • In vivo experience with mouse models and prior hands-on technical experience (i.e., dosing, blood sampling etc.) required.
  • Practical experience with basic laboratory skills (i.e., pipetting, aliquoting, use of precision balances) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with in vitro and cellular assays such as ELISA, MSD, PCR desirable.
  • Proficiency with computers and familiarity with data analysis software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience with logistics and international shipping experience a plus.
  • Required Skills: ELISA, MOUSE, QPCR
  • Additional Skills: FLOW CYTOMETRY, MARKETING ANALYSIS, ORDERING, CELL CULTURE, PARAMETRIC, LABORATORY, MAINTENANCE, ASSAY DEVELOPMENT
