Remote - Senior ios/xamarin Developer

We are searching for a Senior Xamarin Developer to join a dedicated team focused on the development and support of our streaming TV apps. Our streaming TV apps are used by several TV Operators in North America to bring market-leading pay-TV services to their customers across all major technology platforms. We also support TVE apps including Crave, CTV, and Noovo (and a few others!) Our iOS, Android, and Apple TV apps are developed using Microsofts Xamarin framework. The right individual for this role will be a motivated and energetic developer who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work. As a Senior Xamarin Developer, you will be responsible for leading a team of offshore developers all things iOS, tvOS, and Android mobile, including developing new features and maintaining applications. You will work alongside our other talented teams of engineers and designers, ensuring that our users experience is the best possible. Key Responsibilities Responsible for all iOS, tvOS and Android mobile application development and maintenanceWork with other team members (Product, UX, Design, QA) with to requirements gathering and analysis, demonstrating technical leadership and exerting influenceParticipate in technical solution-ing sessions with other developers to ensure that solutions are complete, scalable, and are future-proofWrite detailed design specifications for EngineeringCollaborate with Android and iOS development teams to align technical solutions across mobile platforms and continually improve the mobile experienceBuild, foster, and work within an Agile environment, including participation in priority/sprint planning, story planning and daily standups, as well as analysis and communication of change impacts to the functional team and business stakeholdersParticipate in code reviews, ensuring that code adheres to established standards, is well-structured, documented, and is manageableAnalyze code regularly and refactor as required to minimize technical debtUAT apps to ensure full functionality for iOS, tvOS, and Android OS updatesUnit-test code for robustness and stabilityProvide Tier 2 technical support for issues reported by customers and internal teamsWork closely with Project Managers and members of the Development Team to ensure timely completion of (link removed)municate to Project Managers, providing development time estimates and progress updates, with efficiency and accuracyEngage in outside-the-box thinking to provide innovative solutionsAll other duties assignedRequirementsMinimum 5 years experience with Xamarin development for iOS and AndroidKnowledge of Agile software development practicesAbility to lead, motivate, influence, and generate enthusiasm among team membersDeep understanding of Xamarin performance tools and optimization techniquesExperience building apps that heavily utilize videoUnderstanding of multimedia content delivery protocols such as HLS, progressive download and otherSolid and demonstrable understanding of object-oriented design patterns and principlesComfortable with integrating RESTful APIs and JSONExperience with planning and writing technical documentationSuperior problem solving and risk management skillsTeam player with the desire to own projects and the ability to work with minimal supervisionStrong initiative, priority setting, and collaboration skillsDetail-oriented with good time management skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentKeeps up to date on industry best practices and technologyNice to have: Experience with native development for iOS and AndroidExperience with document-oriented databases like MongoDBKnowledge of AirPlay implementation and optimizationKnowledge of Google Cast implementation and optimization
