Turing.com is looking for an Android Developer on behalf of a fintech company that helps users to manage expenses, pay bills, and gain access to instant rewards. The selected candidate will be tasked with designing and implementing customer-facing features. Job Responsibilities:
Create, maintain, and improve high-performance, reusable, and dependable code
Design the architecture and install new features in production with the help of product managers and the back-end team
Write unit-test code to ensure the code's resilience, usefulness, and overall dependability
Continuously discover, analyze, and deploy new technologies to maximize development
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of experience in developing android applications
Experience defining system architectures and weighing technical feasibility tradeoffs
Prolific knowledge of Retrofit, OkHttp, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, Arch-components, and other common Android libraries
Debugging abilities, such as finding memory leaks and performance bottlenecks, as well as the use of tools such as adb, proguard, and others
Excellent knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms
Understanding scalability, performance, and reliability in design
Solid understanding of OOP, different architectural patterns (esp. MVVM) and their testability
Experience building two or more published android apps in the play store
Prior experience working in an agile environment and using a project management solution such as Jira
Demonstrable skills working with Material Design guidelines, common mobile UX patterns, and anti-patterns
Experience in UPI is nice to have
