Remote Android Developer (UPI, Retrofit, OkHttp, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, and Arch-components)

Turing.com is looking for an Android Developer on behalf of a fintech company that helps users to manage expenses, pay bills, and gain access to instant rewards. The selected candidate will be tasked with designing and implementing customer-facing features. Job Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, and improve high-performance, reusable, and dependable code

• Design the architecture and install new features in production with the help of product managers and the back-end team

• Write unit-test code to ensure the code's resilience, usefulness, and overall dependability

• Continuously discover, analyze, and deploy new technologies to maximize development

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

• At least 5+ years of experience in developing android applications

• Experience defining system architectures and weighing technical feasibility tradeoffs

• Prolific knowledge of Retrofit, OkHttp, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, Arch-components, and other common Android libraries

• Debugging abilities, such as finding memory leaks and performance bottlenecks, as well as the use of tools such as adb, proguard, and others

• Excellent knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms

• Understanding scalability, performance, and reliability in design

• Solid understanding of OOP, different architectural patterns (esp. MVVM) and their testability

• Experience building two or more published android apps in the play store

• Prior experience working in an agile environment and using a project management solution such as Jira

• Demonstrable skills working with Material Design guidelines, common mobile UX patterns, and anti-patterns

• Experience in UPI is nice to have
