Registered Nurse - Trauma Medical Stepdown

Overview:

Benelux Medical Staff a leading staffing agency is searching for a dedicated Medical Stepdown Nurse having expertise in Trauma care for a Fulltime position in Corpus Christi Texas. Join our team and contribute to promoting healing and wellbeing by providing expert care to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care in the Med/Surg Trauma Stepdown unit in a Level II Trauma Center.
  
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments specializing in diverse cases including downgraded traumas traumatic injuries and patients on nontitrated cardiac drips.
  
• Administer prescribed medications change dressings clean wounds and monitor vital signs for patients with injuries from motor vehicle crashes industrial accidents gunshot wounds traumatic brain injuries and more.
  
• Participate as a primary nurse associate nurse team member or team leader in planning and implementing patient care.
  
• Direct and assist in carrying out safe aseptic techniques and procedures.
  
• Offer leadership and direction to support staff within the department ensuring highquality care.
  
• Obtain and maintain certifications such as BLS ACLS and work towards obtaining TNCC for delivering optimal healthcare services.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Able to assess plan implement and evaluate nursing care.
  
• Oneyear experience in nursing preferred.
  
• Current Texas State RN License
  
• CPR (American Heart Association)
  
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire/transfer date
  
• EKG required within 90 days of hire/transfer date
  
• TNCC within 18 months of hire/transfer date
  

Benefits

• Pay Rate of $28.50 $46.40
  
• Shift $2.50 weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
  
• $4.50 nights after 11 pm
  
• Nightshift Hours: 7pm 7am
  
• $10K signon bonus
  
• $5K relocation if relocating
