Job Description

1)Conduct credit investigations on existing and potential customers to extend or raise credit limit.
2)Review credit information obtained evaluate the credit risk and approve or decline credit accounts.
3)Extend credit to customers in accordance with established company policies and terms in a timely manner.
4)Monitor monthly balances of customers.
5)Plan and maintain a program for the systematic followup and collection of receivables.
6)Follow closely the course of aging accounts and determine action to be taken on delinquent accounts.
7)Facilitate bad debt recovery by monitoring potential writeoffs and collecting on previous write offs and taking legal action when necessary.
8)Follow up on disputes in a timely manner and work with salespeople and customers to resolve.
9)Personally handle major accounts requiring individual attention marginal accounts problem accounts special credit arrangements and deviations from standards.
10)Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of all local state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the management and collection of accounts receivable.
11)Provide direction and guidance to team members.
12)Make recommendations to the owners and executive management regarding policy and property management.
13)Communication with Sales team and credit team.
14)Demonstrated ability to organize tasks motivate and supervise staff.
15)Enforce credit policy.
Requirements
1)Knowledge of financial management.
2)Ability to train and develop team members.
3)Ability to manage effective teams
4)Working knowledge of Microsoft products including PowerPoint Word and Excel.
5)Ability to effectively communicate with broad range of people positions and situations
6)Effective written and verbal skills.
7)Ability to efficiently multitask.
8)Analytical skills.
9)Selfmotivated.
10)Ability to handle and resolve conflict/confrontation.
11)Ability to handle stress and stressful situations.
12)Experience in Credit Collections and/or Accounts Receivables.
13)Bachelor s Degree in the Finance field preferred.
14)10year Credit/collection experience.
1)Candidate should be preferably from distribution background experience. 2)Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. 3)12+ years of experience in channel management, partner development, or a related role. 4)Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and managing successful channel teams. 5)Strong negotiation, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills. 6)In-depth knowledge of the Ugandan market and business landscape. 6)In-depth knowledge of the Ugandan market and business landscape.
