Neurosoft Bioelectronics situated in Geneva Switzerland is at the forefront of medical equipment manufacturing specializing in innovative solutions for interfacing with neural tissue. Our mission is to revolutionize the treatment of severe neurological disorders such as epilepsy tinnitus and deafness through cuttingedge technology.

With a compact and dynamic team of professionals we are dedicated to designing and developing superior brain interfaces. We are currently seeking an R&D Engineer II to join our ambitious team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in engineering a passion for innovation and a commitment to improving lives through advanced medical technologies.

Tasks

  • Design develop and manufacture prototypes for both implantable medical devices and advanced implantable electrodes.
  • Contribute to feasibility studies for new design concepts and support material selection and manufacturing process development.
  • Assist in the testing and validation of novel implantable electrode prototypes ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Stay updated with technological advancements in the field and integrate new knowledge into ongoing projects.
  • Provide technical support for documentation tasks including writing design specifications manufacturing instructions and test plans.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to evaluate the clinical functional and manufacturing implications of design decisions.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Quality and Regulatory guidelines including ISO 13485 and US requirements (e.g. 21 CFR 820).
  • Offer technical assistance to the Quality Assurance department and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • HES diploma Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Microtechnology Materials Science or related field.
  • 15 years of experience in R&D preferably in the development of medical devices or neurotechnology solutions or other highly regulated environment.
  • Strong hardware experience with expertise in cleanroom environments and interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and US regulatory requirements is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken) with German language skills considered a plus.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
