Job Title: Quality Improvement Coordinator I

Duration: 3 Months

Location: Fully Remote Hawaii

Pay Rate: $27.00/Hr. On W2

Shift: Flexible 7:00AM 4:00PM

Position Purpose:

• Analyze develop implement and monitor clinical quality improvement initiatives to achieve healthy outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform duties and functions to comply with quality improvement programs according to state requirements.
• Support Quality Assurance Performance Improvement work plan/initiatives.
• Schedule and assist with committee and subcommittee preparation.
• Assist in investigation and resolution of member quality of care complaints.
• Audit medical records and monitor performance measures for health care risk management sentinel events and trends.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelors degree in nursing preferred. 2 years clinical quality management or healthcare related experience. At least one year experience in quality function in a healthcare setting.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Customer Service Candidate must be able to work successfully with a range of external stakeholders. Must be able to navigate unfriendly staff.
• Computer Skills Due to being fully remote and highly reliant on digital work the candidate must be able to successfully troubleshoot normal computer issues.

DaytoDay responsibilities:

• This position will be responsible for working ensuring the timely retrieval of medical records from our contracted doctors/providers.
• Direct outreach to providers via phone/email (cold calling)
• Tracking progress towards retrieval including setting deadlines and following up.
• Occasional (< 40% of time) travel to provider offices to retrieve records.
• Prepping (collating scanning digitally filing) and uploading charts to a central location.
• Collaboration with current staff on coordinating outreach to providers.

For PA H&W only:

• Responsible for overseeing reporting and outcome measurement and HEDIS data collection serving as point person between the Department and the Departments EQR contractor.
