Quality Control Technician III

Type: 6 months contract on W2 (potential to become a fulltime role)

Shift Schedule: 9am5pm. 84pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Lab Technician to join the Packaging team which manufactures plastic components for the sealants business. This individual will collaborate with another team member to conduct mechanical (physical property) tests on plastic packaging parts including cartridges syringes and plungers.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct tests to measure the dimensions of plastic parts using tools such as calipers height gauges and other custommade equipment.
• Operate equipment like the Instron force tester to determine the resistance between moving plastic parts and a weight drop tester to assess the impact resistance of the plastic material.
• Record test results using basic Microsoft software programs (Word Excel PowerPoint) on the lab computer or laptop.
• Perform physical tasks related to lab organization including moving boxes labeling & arranging plastic part samples and maintaining the workspace.
• Occasionally travel to our Valencia CA location (15 minutes away) to conduct realworld functional tests with sealantloaded cartridges. PPE will be provided.

Duration and Opportunities:

The position is temporary lasting up to 6 months with the potential to become a fulltime role. A college degree is not required but a high school diploma is necessary.

Training and Supervision:

The selected candidate will receive training and be supervised by an experienced team member. There may be several hours of independent work in the lab.
