• Develop a comprehensive implementation plan for the Miyawaki method in Jordan, including necessary timeline, resource allocation, and key milestones.
• Identify and advise on the most suitable project sites in collaboration with concerned departments at the Greater Municipality of Amman (GAM), and relevant stakeholders, considering factors such as land availability, soil conditions, and community needs while also taking into consideration Jordan's native plants.
• Prepare the financial and resource estimate of the Miyawaki pilot.
• Coordinate the necessary site preparation activities, including soil testing, clearing of invasive species, and site conditioning as per Miyawaki method guidelines.
• Procure native plant species suitable for Jordan's climate and create a well-diversified mix for afforestation.
• Oversee the planting process, ensuring adherence to Miyawaki method guidelines regarding plant spacing, soil preparation, and post-plantation maintenance.
• Develop a monitoring framework to assess the growth, health, and biodiversity of the planted forests.
• Establish a maintenance plan to ensure proper watering, weeding, and protection of the forests during the initial growth phase.
• Conduct periodic inspections and take corrective measures as necessary to ensure the long-term sustainability of the forests.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare regular progress reports, including data on forest growth, biodiversity, and community engagement.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the project, including photographs, site plans, and lessons learned.
