Overview:

Tek Wissen Group is a workforce management provider throughout the USA and many other countries in the world. Our client is a health insurance company. It offers different types of health care coverage plans that include individual and family, dental and vision, plans for employers, etc.

Title: Project Manager Sr

Work Location: Southfield, MI 48076

Duration: 15 Months

Job Type: Contract

Work Type: Hybrid (Resource will be required to work onsite 1-2 times a week.)

Job Description

Department: CD Solutions Implementa

Engagement Description:

Manage Care Delivery workstream projects:

  • Support/facilitate business case and business requirements development

  • Facilitate project business decision making

  • Develop and manage complete end-to-end project plan which includes business implementation, readiness, and technical milestones

  • Compile status reports reflecting all aspects of project execution including business implementation, readiness and technical inputs

  • Work with all project stakeholders to resolve project issues or mitigate risks

  • Facilitate the development of User Acceptance Testing scenarios and business approvals

  • Facilitate defect tracking and resolution in coordination with IT

  • Provide consolidated (business and IT) project status reporting, verbally and in writing

  • Ensure proper transition of ongoing business activities prior to project closure

  • Support business readiness activities including workgroup breakout sessions, process, and procedure development.

Top 3 Required Skills/Experience:

  • Project management (5+ years)

  • Client, Health, or Insurance industry background (3+ years or combination thereof)
    Experience managing projects using Waterfall (5+ years) and Agile methodologies (3+ years)

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Full project lifecycle experience. Ability to execute effectively to PMBOK's 10 knowledge areas.

  • Management. Experience with leading by influence. Knows what is required to guide and unite cross-functional groups. Familiar with third party vendor management, procurement, and the steps/processes that drive their general lifecycle.

  • Critical thinking. Contemplates the broader picture within the context of the details. Understands how to balance pros and cons. Seeks to divine facts and translate them into actionable items.

  • Facilitation. Skilled in the art of facilitation. Possess the tact and technique required to drive productive outcomes, especially when impasses are encountered.

  • Translation. Builds bridges and supports partnerships. Translates business concepts to IT requirements and IT direction/questions into appropriate business terminology.

  • Recognizes the importance of simplicity and its impact on mental absorption.

  • Ability to author meaningful communications and develop presentations that educate/inform a diverse array of audiences.

  • Tools Knowledgeable on advanced functionality of Microsoft office suite tools, including Outlook and Visio (5+ years). Comfortable navigating within SharePoint and hosting meetings with Teams, Skype, or both.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle.

  • Familiar with work management tools used for issue/requirements tracking (epics, stories, subtasks) and test case management such as Atlassian JIRA.

  • Certification, formal education, or equivalent professional experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, Quality

  • Basic knowledge of database concepts and design, layouts, report building, etc.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in - Business Management, Finance, IT, Information Science, Library Science, or related healthcare administration field

  • Certifications Desired PMP (preferred), PgMP
