This company provides solutions for the most challenging corrosion issues found in the chemical processing sulfuric acid hydrometallurgy regenerative thermal oxidizer and chlor alkali industries.

They design manufacture and install complete solutions for the harshest environments!

This company in East Canton is now hiring for a Process Engineer. The role will apply their knowledge and understanding of quality management systems six sigma and lean manufacturing concepts practices and principles to develop solutions to problems and opportunity for improvement. The Process Engineer actively contributes to the continual improvement initiatives of the Knight Quality Management System (QMS).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control process improvement testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed
  • Suggests improved testing equipment and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates
  • Analyzes inprocess data reports and defective products to identify and determine trends and recommend corrective actions
  • Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems ensures that effective root cause and corrective actions are implemented and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs
  • Complete root cause and corrective action implementation for all initiated nonconforming reports
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing lines when nonconforming material is identified
  • Lead process improvement teams
  • Assist Ceramic Engineer with evaluation of new or modified raw material selection and approval.

Requirements

  • Green or black belt training
  • Ability to lead and facilitate team projects
  • Strong root cause and corrective action methodologies
  • Manufacturing operation and QA experience
  • Experience managing data in Microsoft Office 365 products

Preferred:

  • CQE with lean six sigma training
  • Experience with Minitab statistical software
  • Green and/or black belt certification
  • Background in DMAIC methodology
  • Manufacturing operation and QA experience
  • ASQ Quality Certification
  • Ceramic experience a plus
