Your missionYou will be in charge of the development of electrical layouts sizing and engineering concepts for rectifier technology as well as power engineering (power supply transformation and management) for the electrolysis process This position is at the interface of process development and technical design and can be based either in Munich Frankfurt am Main or in Singapore
- Lead the engineering team in the design and development of a HighPower DC Supply system involving AC to DC Power Conversion for Currents from A up to A and Voltage up to VDC applied to a Hydrogen Production System
- Review the design of the Electronics I/O Sensors interface and Firmware/Software interfacing to the MMI application
- Design the electronics interface design on the PCB in compliance with international reliability thermal and EMI/EMC design guidelines as well as local electrical codes standards/legislation (eg CE IEC API BS)
- Design robust test plans (eg FATs/SATs and/or vendor inspections) for the power system and execute the relevant tests before the acceptance and systemlevel integration of the power modules including electrical safety with lightning protection consideration
- Responsible for the development of supporting technical documents for the power system modules
- Define specification and procurement of equipment such as
- Sizing calculations datasheets
- AC/DC Power Converters Medium Voltage Transformers and Switchgear High Voltage Distribution Systems and UPS Systems
- Electrical substations/Ehouse
- Cooperate/lead partners and suppliers to optimize design and align interfaces with electrical equipment/systems
Your profile- Masters / Degree in Electronics Electrical Engineering or related Power Electronics Engineering
- Familiar with HighPower ACDC converters (eg A up to A and Voltage up to VDC) and topologies (ie uncontrolled controlled diode and thyristorbased rectifier and diode bridge rectifiers connected to DC chopper) to achieve the following outcomes
- To deliver a controlled DC current to manage the hydrogen flow rate and energy efficiency of the hydrogen production system
- Optimise interaction with the power supply from the power quality point of view (eg high power factor compensation of reactive power)
- Ensuring input current harmonics injected in the AC power supply must meet international standards and requirements such as IEEE
- Designing system for high efficiency and high reliability (ensure continuity of service in case of electrical failures etc)
- Minimize low and highfrequency current ripple to the hydrogen production system while optimizing the specific energy consumption
- Minimize the cost of power system
- Familiar with the electrical codes safety standards/legislation (eg CE IEC API BS)
- Experience in HV / LV Panel troubleshooting and servicing
- Experience in managing and leading industrial partners/subcontractors and suppliers to optimize design cost and align interfaces with electrical equipment/systems
