Job Description

As our new Piping Designer, you will perform a variety of piping design for plant support or engineering projects to maintain and continuously improve the performance of multiple chemical production facilities using AutoCAD.

The role can be based at any of our EMEA manufacturing sites, including UK (West Yorkshire), Spain (Terrassa), Italy (Lombardy), Germany (Krefeld) and Sweden (Helsingborg).

Principal duties:

• You will be responsible for the preparation of general arrangement layouts, study drawings, piping isometrics and detailed design construction drawings.
• Creating 3D piping models for project reviews
• Project scope definition: creating and understanding project deliverables per the business needs.
• Creating as-built drawings for P&IDs, Piping Isometrics, general layouts
• Responsible for meeting project schedules, estimates with complete deliverables.

What you will need:

• Associate degree in design/drafting or a related field. Please know that we embrace experience in lieu of a degree.
• A few years' piping design experience in the chemical industry or related field.
• A few years’ experience in D model design review software experience required CadWORX or Plant 3D is preferred.
• Competency in creating or revising drawings from design sketches and verbal instructions.
• Sound knowledge of computer graphics and drafting techniques, engineering drawings, reading of drawings and reproduction methods used by the engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of basic mathematical skills
• Basic knowledge of drafting standards and procedures
• Basic knowledge of ASME and API codes
