Job Descriptions:
The Operator Mechanic is responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to ensuring assigned equipment is ready for start-up/changeovers. Visually inspect equipment to ensure operation according to standards making adjustments as necessary. Ability to learn multiple pieces of equipment and provide relief as necessary. Complete centerline inspections and may assist mechanics with minor repairs, replacements, and modifications to equipment as necessary following all safety regulations and ensuring all GMP and quality standards are met. Must have own hand tools.

Compensation:


Starting pay up to $20.12 per hour + $0.70 Attendance Bonus!


Essential Job Functions:


Ability to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position
Regular attendance to ensure production requirements are met
Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
Ability to complete work/purchase requests into the maintenance tracking and performance computer system
Knowledge of planned maintenance including drumbeats, MTBF, and root cause problem solving
Knowledge of basic hand tools
Good communication skills
Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work individually as well as with others as a team
Basic computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheets
Basic math skills
Good safety record and complete all necessary trainings.
Complete required BOS Audits.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Job Duties
:

Verify product for start-up (e.g., product codes, weights, etc.)
Ensure equipment is ready for start-up/changeovers performing pre-start checks
Visually inspect equipment to ensure it is operating according to standards making adjustments as necessary
Complete centerline inspections to identify defects
Grease seals and bearings, clean, inspect, and replace belts as needed
Assist mechanics with minor repairs, replacements, and modifications to equipment as needed
Assist mechanics with Planned Maintenance (PM) as necessary
Teardown equipment for changeover/sanitation
Complete daily paperwork (e.g., centerline reports, scale audits, PM/AM sheets, etc.)
Keep work area free from debris to maintain a safe and efficient production process
Participate in production line drumbeats as required
General housekeeping (e.g., sweeping, wiping down guards, removal of contaminants, etc.)
May perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
:

Excellent attention to detail
Ability to solve problems independently
Knowledge of GMPs
Ability to be LOTO certified

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.Experience Required: Minimum 1 year maintenance or related experience preferred.
