- Accountable for ensuring the safe operation of the power station to meet the OMCO’s objectives through the generation targets for their duty shift whilst safeguarding plant availability, reliability and environmental performance.
- Accountable for maintaining a proactive approach to analyse plant technical problems, find solutions and to challenge their shift team members to maintain high standards of plant operations achievement, promoting a fair, professional and disciplined approach
- Accountable for prioritising safety related issues, ensuring their shift team gives appropriate importance to Company policies and practices in health and safety management.
- Accountable for ensuring that important operational, safety and management information is effectively communicated to the appropriate members of their shift team.
- Authorised for managing and coordinating their team’s training and development plans and appraisal schemes, setting targets and objectives, ensuring training meets the needs of the Company business.
