- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Manage project site activities and staff (such as IYCF activities, SFP activities, IYCF Counsellors, SFP assistants and volunteers);
- Provide IYCF technical support to staff (CMAM, Health, Child Protection and others as necessary) to promote consistent good practice;
- Ensure that all staff understand and implement program guidelines when assessing the mother-child pair, and advise the best feeding options and following up as appropriate;
- Ensure appropriate and consistent education messaging to mothers and other cares at all programming contact points and in the community.
- Facilitate the development and scheduling of our activities (e.g. for IYCF Outreach Workers/volunteers);
- Develop monthly work plans for the mother-baby areas with the IYCF Counsellors and appropriate staff;
- Refer all pregnant women to the next antenatal care services if not already informed;
- Facilitate cross-sectoral programming, particularly to promote excellent communication and referral between IYCF, SFP and OTP programming.
