Overview:
The Node.js Developer plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining highperformance scalable web applications. They are responsible for implementing backend services and managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. This role is vital in ensuring the seamless integration of userfacing elements with serverside logic thus improving the overall performance and responsiveness of the web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining web applications using Node.js and related technologies
- Designing and implementing RESTful APIs for seamless communication between frontend and backend systems
- Collaborating with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements with serverside logic
- Implementing security and data protection measures
- Managing and maintaining databases and implementing data storage solutions
- Ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications
- Integrating multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Implementing testing and debugging processes
- Staying uptodate with the latest industry trends and best practices
- Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a Node.js Developer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and its frameworks
- Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML CSS and clientside scripting
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of serverside templating languages
- Expertise in asynchronous programming and its quirks
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery
- Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
