Cardiac Echo SonographerSummaryProduces ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures for use by Physician in diagnosis and study of heart disease.Responsibilities Performs transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) exams. Documents and maintains patient and test data. Manages time and workload fluctuations. Assesses patients and adapts to changing clinical situations. Completes billing for tests performed. Utilizes and maintains departmental and hospital equipment. Takes ownership and responsibility for individual performance. Performs other duties as assigned.EducationTwo years of formal training or education beyond the high school level in Cardiac Ultrasonography.Certification Registration and LicensureCertification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.Registration required: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) registry in accordance with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) guidelines.NH State licensure for Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy is required.ExperienceAt least one (1) year of experience in Cardiac Ultrasonography is required.Hours/Schedule:Hours are 40 hours/week four 10 hour shifts or five 8 hour shifts MF schedule with occasional weekends required.
