We're seeking a skilled professional to perform complex design, engineering, and implementation of telecommunication, configuration management, and security control systems for major projects. As a Network Security Engineer, your responsibilities will include development, engineering design, configuration planning, and deployment oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cisco Systems Network Design: Design and implement Cisco Systems network topologies to meet the evolving needs of our organization.

  • Adherence to Industry Standards: Stay up to date with industry standards and best practices, including those set by OSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, ISO, ITIL, and others, to ensure our network aligns with the latest technologies and security requirements.

  • Operating Systems: Proficiency in UNIX and/or Windows operating systems to manage network configurations effectively.

  • Hardware and Telecommunications Technology: Work with client and RISC-based hardware, LAN/WAN architecture, and modern telecommunications technology such as TCP/IP, Fiber Optics, ATM, DSL, and Gigabit Ethernet.

  • Supervision: Apply principles of supervision and configuration management to lead a team of skilled professionals in network operations.

  • ITIL and ITSM: Utilize Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and IT Service Management (ITSM) practices to optimize network service delivery and support.

  • Network Design and Compliance:Compliance with industry standards, EPEAT, and Energy Start requirements.

  • Security Management: Implement security engineering practices, manage compliance, and oversee security techniques such as Vulnerability Analysis, Risk Analysis, Incident Response, and Configuration Management.

  • Monitoring and Support: Utilize Enterprise Security Monitoring (ESM) and Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) tools to support security teams.

  • Diverse IT Environment: Manage various IT systems, technologies, and platforms while ensuring legal compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Security Solutions: Deploy and maintain security solutions including FireEye MPS, Palo Alto Firewalls, GigaStor, and others, while ensuring compliance with PCI-DSS, SB1386, and privacy laws.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in one of the following areas:
  • Engineering communications or network systems, including design and installation of large communications systems, electronic, radio, or data networks.
  • Configuration management experience on a large-scale computer system, encompassing Microsoft Windows Enterprise technology and CISCO Systems Networking.
  • Engineering, implementation, and administration of security solutions in large-scale computer systems with multiple operating systems, databases, applications, and networks.
