- Maintaining a minimum safe standard for all personnel, infrastructure and equipment on site
- Work closely with the planning, scheduling, geology and mine supervision teams to provide high quality designs for the extraction and dumping areas.
- Analyse and interpret data to allow for the effective benching of the open cast mine and overburden dumps ensuring wall stability and ground stability.
- Oversee the data collection, analysis and maintenance of the seismic and ground movement instrumentation processes.
- Define and communicate geotechnical learnings to continuously develop site-based geotechnical knowledge and awareness
- Mitigating geotechnical material hazards to the site and company
- Ensure geotechnical systems and procedures are in implemented, employed and maintained
