About the job
We are looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA to provide expertise in database clustering and high-performance issue resolutions. This is a freelance, remote position with flexible hours, offering the opportunity to work on challenging and innovative projects.
Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot SQL Server clustering solutions.
- Optimize SQL Server performance, including query tuning and indexing.
- Provide solutions for high-volume data handling and storage.
- Conduct regular performance audits and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with our IT team to ensure database security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies are in place.

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA, specifically with clustering and high-performance databases.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server technologies and tools.
- Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with cloud-based SQL Server deployments.
- Familiarity with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and Failover Cluster Instances.
