The role
We are looking for a Major Projects Project Manager to lead drive and deliver complex multimillionpound projects. You ll be responsible for the overall ownership 33 132kV switchgear and primary substation projects from award to completion for various renewable technologies.
You ll be a key point of contact and will work closely with the Commercial Design and Supply Chain departments to ensure our projects are delivered first time every time against budget and in full.
- You ll design maintain and own programs of work for projects ensuring always accurate and that your projects are completed on time and in budget routinely.
- You ll provide Project planning Milestone management Scope management Resource forecasting; Financial Management; Change Management across the project portfolio.
- You re able to maximise profitability for the business considering innovative technologies better practices or sustainable solutions to deliver project efficiencies wherever possible to do so.
- You ll attend site when necessary to troubleshoot monitor quality oversea progression or conduct audits.
- You ll communicate routine updates and reports at an operational and commercial level internally and externally.
Requirements

Youll have a proven track record of:
- Best practice project management with extensive experience particularly within the electrical utility industry.
- Understanding the project life cycle from ownership to completion along with an awareness and management of cross functional interdependencies
- Problem solving strategic thinking and being agile in challenging situations with the ability to find appropriate costeffective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills adapting your communication style when required along with the ability to work alongside multiple teams at any one time.
- Top notch organisation and coordination skills with the ability to drive and deliver complex multimillionpound projects.
Youll already have experience & qualifications in:
- Working for an ICP or DNO at EHV voltage levels (33132kV)
- Project Management with a qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. Prince 2 APM PMI)
- The use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office Microsoft Teams SharePoint etc. across multiple platforms such as smart phones tablets laptops etc
- The use of MS Project or equivalent Project Management software
- Full UK driving license.
