We are looking to fill a full time Maintenance Tech position with a manufacturer located in the area of Brown Deer, WI. This is a DAY SHIFT, M-F with OT as needed position and this person would be considered for the upcoming Maintenance Supervisor opportunity.

Salary Range: $28 per hour and up DOE

MUST HAVES:

2+ years Maintenance Tech experience within Manufacturing environment.

Some experience with Preventive Maintenance (PM)

Primary Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, perform duties to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, building and facilities requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills. Equipment is typical light manufacturing, CNC, and assembly equipment, using typical electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Perform preventive maintenance duties on equipment and facilities in accordance with the written Preventive Maintenance program, which includes updating Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance records and plans.

Duties:

Perform activities of installations or upgrades to equipment and/or work areas.

Performs trouble shooting of equipment and facility systems using disciplined systematic analysis methodology. This requires competency interpreting schematics, electromechanical diagram, and controls symbology and logic.

Assists in selecting and monitoring subcontract work with respect to facilities, equipment installations, and grounds care.

Performs plant maintenance work to maintain structures, facilities, grounds, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, etc. (This work may involve working on an aerial lift up to 25 off the floor.)

Performs routine runs to pick up supplies from local hardware vendor or various suppliers.

Reports safety hazards and any other unusual conditions to management. Inspect fire extinguishers and emergency lighting, ensuring their operability. Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations

Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Other Responsibilities:

Performs general building and premises cleaning and maintenance as needed, including lawn care, snow removal, general plant waste removal, and limited janitorial tasks as needed.

Other projects as assigned.

Education and experience:

One to three years of maintenance experience that also includes basic knowledge of machining and carpentry practices sufficient to operate lathes, mills, drills, saws, etc.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Must be proficient in basic computer programs.

Requires valid Wisconsin driver s license and a good driving record.
