Mail and Shipping Specialist

We are currently looking for a Mail and Shipping Specialist for one of our clients in the printing industry.
What is in it for you:
Hourly salary of $21.96.
12month contract.
Fulltime (37.50 hours per week).
Weekday schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Onsite presence is required.

Responsibilities:
Prepare mail and packages for external shipment using common mail services including fax air express freight and postal services.
Receive sort and process mail documents packages and supplies. Notify recipients.
Basic printing utilizing color production printers.
Record and process accountable mail information maintain logs.
Shipping and receiving using an automated system to track and manage activity.
Arrange alternative courier or shipping services to meet customer requirements.
Determine output packaging per packaging standards.
Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
Operate mail equipment including mail inserters sorters and finishing equipment.
Perform quality checks on outbound mail.
Perform chargeback reporting for postage air express local delivery and faxes.
Perform mail labeling/mail merge. Perform electronic mail distribution (open mail prep scan and distribute).
Perform fulfillment functions such as assembly packaging and kitted materials.
Follow mailroom security procedures.
Perform logging transmission receipt and timely distribution of faxes.
Deliver and pick up mail on scheduled runs.
Recommend improvements to achieve cost savings and optimize workflow.
Track trace and resolve mail problems or concerns.
Monitor order and replenish supplies inventory.
What you will need to succeed:
High School diploma or equivalent.
6 months to 1 year experience in a professional working environment.
Experience in a clientfacing environment.
1 to 2 years experience in a mailroom environment.
Good communication both written and verbal
Selfmotivated.
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform duties with minimal supervision.
Ability to operate highvolume mail and insertion equipment.
Able to be on your feet 80% of the time.
Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Ability and willingness to learn.
