- What You Will Be Doing
Reporting to the Laundry Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
- Pick-up and deliver JPL linens, staff uniforms and town contracts linen at scheduled times
- Assist the Washperson and Laundry Attendants as required
- Provide and deliver Housekeeping and Food & Beverage departments with clean linen
- Report necessary maintenance items
- Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
- Following all safety and sanitation policies
- Other duties as assigned
- Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Valid Alberta driver’s license required
- Excellent physical condition required
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience an asset
- Good knowledge of JPL property, roads, linen closets and F&B outlets an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Comfortable driving trucks
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
