Overview

As an Insurance Agent you will play a crucial role in selling insurance policies and providing consultation to clients. Your primary responsibility will be to help individuals and businesses protect themselves against potential risks by offering them suitable insurance products. This position is vital to the organization as you will directly contribute to revenue generation and client acquisition.

Key responsibilities

  • Meet with potential clients to understand their insurance needs
  • Recommend and explain suitable insurance policies to clients
  • Educate clients on the terms and benefits of insurance policies
  • Customize insurance programs to suit individual clients needs
  • Assist clients in filing and managing insurance claims
  • Develop leads and book appointments with prospective clients
  • Conduct thorough policy reviews and updates for existing clients
  • Negotiate insurance terms and premiums with insurance underwriters
  • Stay updated on insurance industry trends and regulations
  • Effectively utilize sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Maintain accurate records of insurance policies and client interactions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurance providers
  • Handle policy renewals and follow up on pending payments
  • Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve overall company goals and targets

Required qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Finance or a related field
  • Proven work experience as an Insurance Agent or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of insurance products services and regulations
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office Suite
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Active insurance agent license in the state of operation
  • Ability to analyze clients current insurance policies and suggest improvements
  • Knowledge of different types of insurance coverage and their benefits
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment
  • Strong ethical standards and adherence to confidentiality guidelines
  • Certifications in insurance sales or related field is a plus
