Bioprojet Biotech, pharmaceutical research and development center of the
Bioprojet laboratory, is recruiting for its site based in Rennes (35) its:

Head of the Biology Department - M/F

Within the research center which hosts 45 scientists, the biology department develops new research targets by cloning, evaluates chemically synthesized molecules in vitro on multiple automated biological tests, verifies their selectivity, develops predictive systems for unwanted side effects, including cardiac safety tests.

Tasks

You will guarantee the excellence of scientific research by:

• The proposal to the management of new research programs
• The implementation of innovative tools allowing their optimization
• The control of the conformity of the data in the programs, the interpretation and/or the validation of the results, the drafting of the reports and the patent filing files.

You will be responsible for planning, organizing, managing resources and directing scientific activities to ensure that research projects are carried out in a timely, rigorous and efficient manner.

You will manage the department's human resources (recruitment, development, evaluation, training) as well as administrative management (monitoring of working time, resource allocation, order management).

You will participate in the preclinical and clinical development plans for products under development in collaboration with the Paris site (Gantt chart management).

The candidate will exercise his function under the direction of the Director of Research.

Requirements

Holder of a doctorate in Life Sciences, you have very good theoretical and practical knowledge in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, pharmacology and physiology, coupled with solid experience in managing the resources of a scientific team.

At least 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
