Financial Analyst

About the Role: HYBRID 2-3 days in office

Our Client is looking for a Financial Analyst to join the operations team in the VA office. The role will assist the Chief Financial Officer in taking ownership of the financial planning and analysis at Our Client. You will be vital in leading the M&A activities, working alongside the senior executive team through the full acquisition process from sourcing to deal execution to ongoing integration efforts. You will be successful in this role if you have strong analytical skills with an exceptional level of detail-orientation in supporting a dynamic and fast-paced environment of our growing company. This role requires a person to be strategic with a strong attention to detail and drive impact with a tremendous respect for execution.

Your Day to Day:
Work directly with sellers or sell-side M&A advisors, serving at Our Client primary contact person in the acquisition process
Ensure Our Client team is responsive to sellers and M&A advisors including professionally crafted correspondence and exceptional follow-up and follow-through
Manage the purchase proposal process
Prepare valuation model and structure for acquisition process
Lead the letter of intent process and directly support the negotiations of larger clients, driving transactions to closing
Guide the transaction process of balancing merits and drawbacks of buyer/seller relationship while understanding financial and market dynamics

What Our Team is Looking For:
BA or BS required in Finance, Marketing, Accounting or related field of study
3-5 years of relevant experience in M&A (brokerage, investment banking, etc.)
Strong display of executive presence and ability to interact with C-Suite level
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up ones sleeves to get the job done
Exceptional knowledge of financial statements, EBITDA calculations and process of reviewing add backs, legal agreements, and transaction structures
Highly motivated self-starter with a drive to learn and produce results
Entrepreneurial orientation with a track record of identifying and closing transactions and explaining historical and projected financial information
Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a services organization
Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks and adjusting as needed
Ability to handle confidential and time sensitive information
