- Leading Finance Department:
- representing the Department, contributing to Senior Management Team, guiding the department’s development, leading department meetings, and leading liaison between Departments and fostering positive and productive inter-Departmental relationships.
- guiding each staff member’s recruitment, induction, performance management, development, learning and improvement to ensure each takes on gradually increasing responsibilities with reducing supervision.
- Guiding the Senior Accountants in their supervision of the Accountants.
- Assigning different grants/programmes/functions to different Accountants for balanced workload
- Ensuring efficient and effective financial management for GFP and GFP Inc. finances in compliance with GFP and Donor/Partner policies and reporting requirements:
- setting policies and providing guidance and training to staff on financial management procedures and supporting documentation requirements to ensure compliance with GFP and Donor/Partner policies and reporting requirements;
- handling all financial transactions, ensuring value for money, and ensuring all necessary authorities have been obtained;
