Factory Support Engineer

Tasks

Your territory

As part of our Hardware/Firmware team, you will:

• Be our eyes and ears at external manufacturers to ensure that pets worldwide receive highest-quality GPS trackers
• Monitor and improve quality assurance at the factory
• Be responsible for factory test process optimization
• Be the link between our external manufacturers and internal development teams
• Make sure that every hardware change will be smoothly integrated into our manufacturers production processes
• Support manufacturers when production problems occur and drive the investigation if necessary
• Help set up and validate new process steps in production
• Bring in your fresh ideas and experience to make Tractive better - you ll never hear the phrase ...because that s how we ve always done things
• Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show your potential, and attend workshops which help you get to the next level

Requirements

Your profile

Key requirements:

• Experience with electronic manufacturing in China
• Knowledge of electrical engineering and hardware development
• Great communication and organizational skills
• Willingness and flexibility to frequently visit our manufacturers on site (Dongguan/Shenzhen/Hongkong; ~2-4x/month)
• Excellent English skills
• Excellent Chinese skills (Mandarin and/or Cantonese)

Just so you know what to expect: For this position, we offer a competitive overpayment based on qualification and experience. Annual gross salary starts at 42,000 full-time - at Tractive that means a 4-day work week with a 3-day weekend. If you bring relevant experience in many of the fields of responsibility, the salary will be considerably higher.
