FacilitiesMaintenance Engineer II - Facilities and Maintenance

Primarily 1st shift position 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Possible weekend overtime work depending on needs. There could be a need to work some second shift hours based on projects (less than 20%).

Will need metatarsals for first day. There is a possibility the worker will drive a gator on the shop floor which will have training provided prior to driving. Could also drive personal vehicle between Waterloo sites for various meetings. Interviews will take place onsite or through MS Teams and the position will start onsite on the first day.

FE Contingent Engineering Position (Facilities)

Primary Position Responsibilities & Duties

The primary responsibility for this position is to provide overall project management services and engineering solutions as related to facility changes and improvements at manufacturing facilities.

Experience with Manufacturing Engineering or Maintenance is recommended. Cross function experience in other areas such as Supply Management Quality Environment or Safety is desirable.

Some specific duties of this position are:

• Work with nonmobile material handling equipment application engineering and installation
• Machine tool and process equipment layout and installation
• Coordination planning and management of multidiscipline projects
• Consulting and coordination towards dynamic factory master planning efforts

Required Skills Knowledge & Relevant Work Experience

• Manager looking for Civil Engineering degrees with Construction Management emphasis or Mechanical Engineering degree with Manufacturing emphasis
• Experience in project management
• Cross competency experience with either Manufacturing Engineering Operations Supervision and/or Maintenance Engineering
• Experience in coordinating multiple skilled trades and contractors to achieve project objectives (5 years)
• Background in building infrastructure systems (mechanical electrical structural) (3 years)
• Understanding of engineering principles as related to manufacturing operations (3 years)
• Working knowledge of nonmobile material handling systems (cranes jibs monorails conveyors)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple active projects simultaneously
• Ability to work with personnel and middle management to communicate and coordinate project activities. Capability to create and deliver presentations of projects and process subjects
• Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools
• Knowledge of OSHA Safety standards
• Experience working in an Union environment
